Nevada Heating Names John Hudson General Manager
From Service Technician to General Manager, Hudson Brings 13 Years of Experience to Sparks-Reno
RENO, Nevada, June 2026 — Nevada Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing, an affiliate of Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing, has named John Hudson as General Manager. Hudson brings 13 years of trades experience and a deep background in technical training, field operations, and team development to the role.
Hudson first joined Goettl in February 2018 as a service technician in Phoenix. Over the following years, he steadily moved into leadership, serving as an assistant office manager, then as an instructor and master trainer at Goettl Academy, where he built HVAC training content used across the company. He relocated to Las Vegas in 2022, taking on a dual role in training and operations before becoming HVAC Operations Manager in August 2024. He was named General Manager of Nevada Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing in April 2025.
What drew Hudson to Goettl in first place was the culture. “Even though it was a large company, it had the small vibe of the family-owned,” he said. “I’m also from a small town, so that was important to me.”
That same quality is part of what attracted him to the Reno opportunity. “Reno is still a city, but it’s one-third the size of Vegas,” Hudson said. “It has that small town mentality, and growing up in small towns, I know how to work with those types of environments.”
Hudson said his priority is developing the Nevada Heating team, particularly its younger technicians. “I really like to mentor, and I really like seeing people have success,” he said.
The ultimate goal, he said, is straightforward. “Grow the branch, make it larger, so it just continues to get bigger and bigger.”
Hudson is wasting no time. Nevada Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing has openings for technicians, installers, and plumbers. Interested candidates can learn more and apply at https://nevadaheating.com/careers/.
